Whimsical Decor and Vibrant Color Accents in a Malmö Apartment
This cozy renovated apartment is located on the second floor of a 1920s apartment building in Sweden’s most southern city, Malmö. The 64 square meter home is located in one of Malmö’s most popular areas, Rörsjöstaden, and features a renovated kitchen and bathroom.
The one-bedroom apartment features a lovely color palette, including soft pink in the living room, baby blue in the bedroom, and a vibrant combination of pink and orange in the hallway.

The living room is decorated in a soft and romantic style with dusty pink paneled walls, large windows facing the street, and wooden floorboards.

Two velvet blue sofa’s are facing each other for a social layout, while the large mirror between the windows makes the room feel larger.

On the opposite side, a dining area has been created with a classic marble-topped table and clear dining chairs.

The inner hall between the living room and the kitchen is painted white and features floor-to-ceiling wardrobes and a scalloped pink rug, adding a nice color pop.

The renovated kitchen is stylish and practical. The white kitchen cabinets are from Epok paired with a Silestone countertop, brass fttings (including a Tapwell faucet), and integrated appliances.

By the window, a charming breakfast nook has been created with a built-in bench featuring two drawers, colorful textiles, and a round table.

Through glazed double doors you enter the spacious bedroom where baby blue is paired with a floral wallpaper.

The wallpaper, featuring colorful flowers and birds, adds a whimsical touch to the bedroom space, and the blue tone seen in the wallpaper has been used to paint the ceiling and joinery.

Heading toward the hall and walk-in wardrobe, and the color scheme changes completely.

The hall leading to the bedroom and the walk-in wardrobe is painted in a vibrant orange shade paired with barbie-pink shelves and joinery.

The small bathroom was also recently renovated, featuring Epodex microcement walls and light floor tiles laid in a herringbone pattern. The storage cabinets are from Tom Tailor.

In the entry hall, the vibrant color scheme returns, but this time the colors are reversed with barbie-pink walls and orange-red shelves and joinery.

It’s certainly a dramatic exit!
The apartment is listed for sale at Erik Olsson.
